Always Test your stuff before you deploy it…

So I feel like a rather large heel or whatever other insult is appropriate.
You know that contact me page I have set up on erikpersson.com/about …
Turns out I forgot to set it up to inform me when people actually send me a message. Awesome right?
Anyway to all the people that I haven’t replied to, I apologize, I’m not actually that big an asshole, and I’ll have replies forthcoming…

Tumblr Is Pretty Awesome

I’ve been messing around with Tumblr for the last week. Its pretty awesome.

Basically its a blogging platform thats had all the bulk stripped from it. The Lotus Elise of blogs you could say.

Lotus Elise

Posting is easy as pie. Plus it has quick options for inserting images, videos, music, and anything else embeddable.

But my favorite feature, this is slightly geeky, is that I can just point the A-Record for a domain and/or sub-domain name I own to tumblrs servers and BAM custom blog. Why wordpress.com hasn’t done this already is beyond me.

Anyway here’s my tumblr blog tumblr.erikpersson.com

3 Days

I joined Vimeo 3 days ago. Just got a google alert telling me a new result for Erik Persson showed up. (I swear I’m not vain) My vimeo profile is currently on the second page of results. I haven’t linked to it or anything so thats just standing on its own.

Anywho you can find my vimeo profile here: Erik Persson Vimeo

and heres a video of me sleeping. (Not vain, its just the only video content that I’ve created recently)

Sorry about that whole "This site may harm your computer", I swear its not infectious

So my wordpress site got hacked.

Some arsehole used the bug in 2.3.2 that allowed them to edit my posts and threw in some spyware links hidden in an iframe. Anywho I fixed that.

But now Googles pissed at me until they decide my site doesn’t have the clap anymore. But until they say I’m clean I get this awesome SEO sucking stamp on any results that my site comes up for

Ceramic Pinhole Camera

Check out this awesome ceramic pinhole camera created by Steve Irvine.

“It is made of stoneware, fired to 1,300 degrees C. (2,350 F.) It has a matte black glaze on the inside. Overall, it measures h 22.5 x w 20 x 20.5 cm. on the outside. It’s designed to take a 4 x 5 inch piece of photo paper. The negative holder on the inside is made from three strips of black weather stripping.”

Heres the example shot.

New Feature Alert! The Link Blog

Hey Look!
Theres a new link called “Link Blog” over in the “My Online Presence” sidebar.
Whats it do you ask? Its an easy way for me to share interesting things that I find online with you.
But isn’t that what this whole “The Journal” section is for? Well technically yes, but this is even easier. Now all I have to do is press a button. I don’t even have to come up with something witty to say about the article!
