    Xmas 2024

Christmas 2024 pics were tagged and scanned in a timely manner, same month and calendar year even.

There’s something just so fun about the big pile of photos look. I had a bunch of spare film packs from the wedding that were expiring soon, so I went wild with the Instax mini. It was fun, but comparing the 2 formats makes me wish I’d had more square film, or picked up a wide Instax film camera at some point. Such small photos and the control of the Mini 12 leaves something to be desired.

  • Found some 2023 Instax photos I hadn’t scanned over the weekend, so rectified that situation.

The dates of some of the photos have been lost to time so they just get a general year date. Such is the case of non-timely review and archival. Don’t even want to think about the lost metadata / actual data from the box of family photos in my closet. A problem for a later Erik.

  • One more test

Okay I think I figured it out. Featured images threw me off. Turns out they’re not actually part of your post. But your theme can drop them at the top of your post for reasons. Now that’s just an image at the top and there won’t be any more duplicate image in post issues. Unless I change themes and forget to remove the featured images bit from the next one. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Big Island 2023

I’ve been trying to figure out how I want to publish what are basically my vacation photos. Quite literally the modern version of the slideshow. So, I embraced it, threw them all at iMovie’s auto make a movie feature and this is basically the result.

    Big Island 2023

Here we go check out my vacation photos from the Big Island of Hawaii in this convenient 6-minute-long YouTube video. You’ll see some sand, some street art, water, whole bunch of trees, and way to many photos of our squinting faces because memory is fleeting and I didn’t always remember to wear my sunglasses.

  • We recently stopped by Brimmer & Heeltap, a trendy little spot in Ballard, for a quick breakfast. As seems to be the case with many restaurants these days, the place had two words and an “&” in its name. Nevertheless, we found the food to be really good, and I especially enjoyed the super dope bread that was served with both of our dishes.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we were immediately struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The decor was rustic and charming, with an open garage door wall, fire pit, and cozy seating arrangements. The staff were friendly and attentive, and we quickly seated ourselves at a cozy little outdoor table after ordering.
